TPV, also known as Thermoplastic Dynamic Vulcanize in Chinese, refers to the process of vulcanizing rubber in the process of melt blending of rubber and thermoplastic plastics.

TPV, also known as Thermoplastic Dynamic Vulcanize in Chinese, refers to the process of vulcanizing rubber in the process of melt blending of rubber and thermoplastic plastics.

TPV is mainly composed of two parts, one is plastic as continuous phase, and the other is rubber as dispersed phase. Usually rubber needs to be matched with softening oil or plasticizer. Vulcanizing agent and some auxiliary aids are also essential. In addition, some inorganic fillers will be added to reduce cost or improve some performance. At present, the most popular thermoplastic dynamic vulcanized rubber on the market is polyolefin based on PP/EPDM.

TPV is mainly applied in the following aspects:

1. Buildings and structures: glass seal, door joint rubber strip, arch foundation, pipe gasket, sanitary equipment, building expansion joint, etc.

2. Mechanical tools: impact bar, castor, gasket, handle, handle, hose, rubber roller, pipe connector, etc.

3. Electronics and appliances: cable sheath, mobile phone antenna, motor shaft, support, splicing tape, key pad diaphragm, transformer shell, etc.

4. Auto parts: glass slide rail, glass edge sealing, hood sealing, hose, lamp cover, dust cover, shock mount, air pipe, etc.

5. Sports equipment: ball skin, racket handle, gun holder pad, diving respirator, ski stick handle, etc. According to the performance characteristics of TPV, our company divides the products into three categories: translucent, general, high elastic and flame retardant.

In terms of the performance of thermoplastic vulcanized rubber, which is different from general thermoplastic elastomer, its application is more inclined to industrial products:

1. In terms of high temperature resistance, the conventional full vulcanized PP/EPDM can reach 135, and the engineering thermoplastic vulcanized rubber introduced by DuPont can withstand more than 150;

2. In terms of solvent and oil resistance, TPV is generally more resistant to solvent and oil due to its cross-linked rubber particle phase.
